Enormity

When ever I fly I'm always humbled by the enormity of it all. To appreciate
just how small we really are in the world. It also then reminds me just how
lucky I am - lucky to have the good fortune of a wonderful network of friends
and at this stage of the game good health.

Flying tends to freeze time for some reason, allowing us to reflect and also to
look forward. So yes a simple flight from Edmonton to Vancouver reminded
me that I am lucky............. perhaps the luckiest.

Summer Love

I hung out with my son Alex and his best friend Anna on Friday. We
did the usual stuff 10 year olds do, play at the park, mess about on the
computer and drink kids martinis at East Side Mario's. They laughed,
they made funny voices and just tried to out-weird each other.

I loved it when I got sentimental on them and told them they'd remember
each other for the rest of their lives, and they both in unison said "what if
we get amnesia". I love the honest humor of a 10 year old. :)

The afternoon was without a doubt the highlight to my week and a great
reminder of what's important in life!

The Inside View

Nothing like the inside view a nice pint of Guinness, outside on the first really nice day of summer (yesterday). Thanks Dave and Javier from ACART for joining me. As delicious as it is, it's always better to not drink it alone. Okay okay, I've drank my share on my own and they're just as yummy. ;)
