I'm not one to know a lot about war or conflict. Or to really understand the political reasons why our country is involved in a war right now. But I do appreciate that a great many men and women are away from their families to help people in other parts of the world.
I've done a little work for National Defense this past year, and I met some wonderful folks while doing that - some of which who are over in Afghanistan now (others that are supporting those efforts). Today is a day to help all of us appreciate those folks and all of the men and women over the years that have given service and in some cases their lives for others.
My hat is off to them and to their families.
